Quality, reliability and technical excellence
Eaton-Williams Service (EWS) is part of the Eaton-Williams Group, an established British manufacturer of air conditioning equipment, humidification products and steam generators that play a critical role in creating the right environment for commercial property, communication systems, manufacturing processes and food production areas worldwide.
Eaton-Williams became part of the multi-national Nortek Inc based in Rhode Island, USA in July 2000.
Since its formation in 1936, Eaton-Williams has always been a solution led company. By embracing the latest advances in technology to meet customers’ requirements we have remained at the forefront of the air conditioning industry. The Eaton-Williams portfolio includes the industry’s leading brands, Vapac, Cubit, Qualitair, Edenaire, Eaton-Williams Process Cooling, Colman Moducel and EWS.
The importance of first class after sales and maintenance led to the formation of EWS in the 1960s to provide maintenance for heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment. Since then, we have grown organically and we are proud to be recognised as one of the leading specialist service companies in the UK.
Climate Change, energy efficiency combined with the legislative requirements to address health & safety issues, refrigerant usage and building regulations presents new challenges and opportunities for every business. Putting your project in our hands ensures a planned solution tailored to meet your needs.
We take pride in our engineers, they are after all are our greatest asset. They are all fully trained professionals with specialist skills in the design, installation and maintenance of all types of heating, ventilation and air conditioning. We encourage our engineers to update their skills through regular training and were one of the first companies to take advantage of the Investors in People Award.
Our overall strategy has been shaped by the need to maintain M&E plant in a large number of the country’s critical service providers such as banks, hospitals, utility providers, transportation and the telecommunications industry.
But, our service extends way beyond just the maintenance of plant and equipment. For contract customers we can refurbish and replace equipment through EWS M&E Services. From replacing CFCs in an existing refrigeration plant or designing, installing and commissioning a new installation, it is all part of the EWS service for our customers.
Ensuring equipment operates reliably and efficiently depends on rapid access to one of our engineers and the right spare parts. We manage this by operating a responsive 24/7 service. With a combination of site held spare, central stores, comprehensive van stocks held by each of our mobile engineers and close links with suppliers, we can ensure a rapid response whenever the need arises.
EWS’ Service Managers have a hands-on role in helping to keep customers satisfied. By maintaining close links with all customers in their area, any issues or concerns can be addressed swiftly long before they can become a problem.
ON CALL AND MOBILE 24/7
EWS provides a national service and we have 65 engineers strategically based throughout the UK. They are equipped to provide both routine and emergency services to all our customers. On call 24 hours a day, every day of the year, we can provide a fast response. We can also provide a four-hour emergency response service to deal with genuine emergencies.
We are just a phone call away. For any of our services, a Freephone call to our 24-hour Help Desk will deliver a quick response and the service you need.
The placement of residential engineers has grown in popularity as large commercial premises seek to maximise investments and maintain optimum operating efficiency of their plant and equipment.
EWS has long experience of providing and managing residential engineers and ensuring that their skills match the site requirements. Residential engineers also have the full support of our network of mobile service engineers to help with any unforeseen problems. You can have total confidence in EWS and be sure that we will always have an engineer available whatever happens.
Our service doesn’t just stop at maintenance. EWS is continually improving services and updating engineers’ skills to remain competitive. We can add value by offering a range of specialist packages. By outsourcing and managing specialist support functions such as generators, UPS systems, water treatment, fire alarm systems and all other building services EWS can provide freedom for you to focus on core business activities.
Through our M&E Services Department we can undertake a comprehensive range of refurbishment projects, replacements, repairing and installing new systems. Projects can include comfort and close control air conditioning, public health, electrical, fire detection, ventilation, water treatment and controls including BMS systems.
M&E Services can also handle many other services including the replacement of CFCs in refrigeration equipment, repairing condensers to full refurbishments and/or new installations, all carried out to the same high standards of service as EWS.
DESIGN, INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING
As specialists in design, installation and maintenance of all types of heating, ventilation and air conditioning we can provide comprehensive installation works, ranging from close control systems in computer rooms, laboratories and operating theatres through to comfort cooling in leisure centres, office complexes and retail outlets.
We can install a full range of HEVAC equipment selected from our own portfolio of products manufactured by our sister companies, Edenaire, Qualitair, Vapac, Colman Moducel and Eaton-Williams Process Cooling. If our own products cannot meet your requirements, then we will use other manufacturers’ equipment to ensure that you have the right equipment for the job.
