Eaton-Williams integrated approach helps data centre owners protect their infrastructure investment

Data Centre World expoEaton-Williams Group Limited, part of Nortek Global HVAC will be highlighting its data centre cooling solutions on Stand N35 at this year's Data Centre World expo.

Eaton-Williams offers an integrated approach using the latest technologies and can show measurable efficiencies. Well-designed products based around a state-of-the-art controls platform across its range of CDUs and data centre systems offers attractive propositions for small and large data centres.

From low to medium density applications to the more demanding high density and high density plus applications, Eaton-Williams has an extensive and continually evolving portfolio which includes passive and active rear door heat exchangers, cooling distribution units, its latest Cool3™ IDEC (Indirect Evaporative Cooling) unit as well as CRAH, CRAC and Cold Plate technologies.

The Cool3 IDEC unit offers a highly efficient and cost-effective solution with benefits that include:

  • High water efficiency
  • Energy efficient unit with typical pPUE (Partial Power Usage Effectiveness) below 1.1
  • Compact size
  • Flexible configuration
  • EC fan technology
  • High mechanical cooling energy efficiency ratio (EER)

Eaton-Williams rear door heat exchangers (RDHx) can provide 100% heat rejection at source, delivering up to 65kW of cooling per rack. The Cooling Distribution Units (CDUs) can deliver close controlled water cooling for up to 20 rear door heat exchangers. The CDU absorbs only 4kW of power and will deliver up to 305kW of cooling. The CDUs offer N+1 reliability as standard. Two systems operating in tandem can provide Tier 4 resilience.

Many of the world's leading mission critical data centres benefit from Eaton-Williams scalable approach, delivering energy efficiencies, lower PUEs, reduced emissions and improved TCOs (Total Cost of Ownership).
