Eaton-Williams Unveils R410a Cellar Cooler Systems
Eaton-Williams Group Limited, one of the UK's leading providers of low temperature solutions for product storage is helping end users to boost their environmental credentials and reduce their carbon emissions by offering ECA approved cellar cooler and condensers that are based on the R410a refrigerant.
With the phase out of R22, R410a refrigerant has been introduced as it is a popular refrigerant replacement because of the many advantages associated with it. R410a does not contain any chemicals that can damage the ozone and uses smaller amounts of refrigerant compared to R22 because of better heat transfer and low pressure drop.
Both the QUALITAIR® cellar cooler and condensing units are listed on the Energy Technology Products List (ETL), ensuring that end users can have confidence in purchasing systems that meet the government's criteria for managing climate change and reducing carbon emissions.
"By offering ECA approved units we are helping many users including the pub trade in the battle to reduce their emissions but also enabling them to save money by qualifying for tax relief under the Enhanced capital Allowance (ECA) scheme. This can be a deciding factor when replacing equipment," explains Ron Pamplin, General Manager for QUALITAIR.
Manufactured in the UK, the QUALITAIR cellar coolers combine flexible temperature control with the added value of increased energy savings and quieter operation. The range is already popular with leading retailers, major brewers and micro-breweries and the availability of R410a models offers a trusted brand that can provide a replacement solution for R22 systems.
There are four models offering operating temperatures between 5-23°C which are ideal for general keg, real ale storage areas and bottle cooling. The systems are also widely used to extend the life of perishable produce including fruit, vegetables and flowers.
QUALITAIR® cellar coolers are manufactured from high-grade stainless steel enabling them to be cleaned easily to address hygiene issues.
The systems are also robustly built to withstand knocks and scrapes that can occur within the confines of a heavily used cellar or produce storage rooms.
R 410a replaces R-22 and is a more ozone-friendly refrigerant. R-410A is highly efficient nearly azeotropic mixture of two gasses, R-32 and R-125 which are ideally suited for replacing R-22 and will not damage the ozone. R22 is an HCFC; no recycled or recovered HCFCs can be supplied or used to service existing equipment in the European Union after December 31st 2014.
